Praticed Sports
Practicing sports has helped me get out of burnouts numerous times. This takes effect on various aspects, including:
- improvements in the energy systems (especially fat oxidation) that could save glucose for the brain
- building a stronger neural drive generation ability in the Central Nervous System (CNS) that can be further used for better performing cognitive tasks
- focusing on personal objectives throughout a training session instead of paying too much attention to the comparison with peers, which also helps with keeping a clear and calm mindset during a sprint period of a scientific research project
- emphasis on fatigue management based on theories such as General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS), the importance of which is widely neglected by today’s scientific research communities (especially the AI community)
The choice of sports can be crucial in terms of objectives. Here I share my choice of sports as well as the corresponding objectives.
